ESHA Expands Food Processor Nutrition & Fitness Software Database, Adds Reports
Food Processor Nutrition and Fitness Software, version 11.6 includes FNDDS database and cycle reports for menu plans
Salem, OR—ESHA Research, the industry leader in nutrition analysis and regulatory compliance solutions—announced today a major update to the Food Processor Nutrition & Fitness Software. Food Processor version 11.6 incorporates the USDA’s Food and Nutrient Database for Dietary Studies (FNDDS) and includes new cycle menu based reports, per user request.
The FNDDS database consists of 23,800 foods commonly consumed by Americans, as determined by What We Eat in America, the dietary intake component of the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey. With the inclusion of these foods, the Food Processor food and ingredient database has topped 100,000 items.
“Nutrition reporting for a cycle of days has been the primary request for our Meal Plan module,” said Craig Bennett, CEO of ESHA. “This update reflects our commitment to customers and product development.
The Meal Plan module previously reported nutrition breakdown for each meal for one day only. This update includes reports that show nutrient analysis for a group of days — a cycle menu — and includes nutritoin averages by meal, by day, and by cycle.
