ESHA Will Give Presentation at SupplySide West
Booth and talk will highlight FDA supplement labeling compliance, deadlines, and more
At this year’s SupplySide West show, ESHA Research will present a talk on updating supplement facts labels to comply with the FDA’s new regulations. Peter Holocher, Dietary Supplement Market Development at ESHA, will discuss the steps to compliance and how software can be a valuable tool in meeting the January 2020/2021 compliance deadlines.
Holocher’s presentation will focus on generating supplement facts panels with the updated layout and %DVs; streamlining product commercialization; risk mitigation; tracking formulation revisions; and more.
Holocher will give his talk on Thursday, Oct. 17, at 2 p.m. on the show floor in the Supplier Presentation Theater, Booth #1467.
In addition, Holocher will be on hand during show hours at the ESHA Research booth, #3437, to walk visitors through the latest features available in the Genesis R&D Supplements® software, which will include the ability to attach files for recordkeeping and an updated calculation tool for determining overages.
“We continue to center our development around the user experience,” said Craig Bennett, CEO of ESHA. “This time, we had several requests for an enhanced overage calculator and improved documentation options. We were successful in implementing both those tools, and I think our customers will be happy to have them.”
The modified overage calculator will let users select their preferred calculation method.
“Some users wanted to show the total amount calculated for overage, while others wanted to show the total amount plus an overage percentage. Basically, for a 10% overage, that would either be 111% calculated or 110% with overage added to the total,” said Holocher. “With the updated feature, users can now pick their preference for determining the overage.”
