Java WEB Developer (Remote)

ESHA Research is in search of a Java Web Developer with at least 3-5 years of solid experience on the platform. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the backend side of web development in Java. They will have experience with Spring, RESTful APIs, and ORM frameworks.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrable experience with Spring web applications.
  • Ability to work on a large existing codebase without daily instruction.
  • Understanding of web development on the JEE platform using Spring (MVC or Boot).
  • Familiarity with Hibernate/JPA, Lucene, Jersey, and other common Java backend libraries.
  • Independent learning skills
  • Excellent communication skills

Experience:

  • Languages:  Java, SQL, HTML, XML config (Spring, Hibernate, et al)
  • Tools: Git, Maven, JIRA, Jetty, SSH
  • Libraries: Spring MVC, Hibernate/JPA, Jersey/JAX-RS, JUnit
  • Platforms: Java EE/Servlets, Spring
  • Protocols: HTTP, REST

Some familiarity with the following:

  • Languages:  Bash, JSP/JSTL, WSDL, JavaScript, CSS
  • Tools: Azure, MySQL, Tomcat, NPM
  • Libraries: Lucene, Spring Boot, EclipseLink, Derby, JasperReports
  • Protocols: OAuth, LTI, SOAP

Experience with these would score a few points:

  • Languages: PowerShell, TypeScript
  • Tools: SSL, IIS, TeamCity
  • Libraries: Vue.js
